Job Summary
The Senior Accountant-Core Accounting Services is responsible to assist with management of the processes and team to ensure general ledger, journal entries, and large data management are completed in a timely and accurate manner while creating a positive working environment. The incumbent may be expected to provide support and oversight of additional accounts reconciliations reporting and processes outside of select properties as defined and established by leadership.

Budgeted Salary Range: $70,000 – $75,000

Work Schedule: 40-45 hours a week *(subject to change based on needs of the business). Must be available to work Saturday if the first of the month falls on a Saturday. The day off with be replaced during that month.

Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 2 years experience required.
Experience in multi-unit/multi-company real estate/hospitality/retail accounting environment a plus.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounts, business intelligence, and reporting tools.
Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically in Excel (mid-level preferred: X-Look Up, V-Look Up, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas Required; Macros preferred).
Software experience: Automation software, SAP preferred, Blackline a plus.
Ability to learn new technology quickly.
Accounting and allocating expenses experience required.
Large data management experience required.
Soft skills: effective communication, adaptable, self-starter, problem solver and process improvement, ability to multi-task and prioritize, deadline driven.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures general ledger, journal entries, and large data management are in compliance with company’s policies & procedures.
Analyzes and reconciles any accounting discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely monthly and annual G/L close.
Compiles and analyzes bank and cash account information to assist with monthly and annual financial statement preparation for multiple properties.
Prepares complex bank reconciliations and ensures all reporting deadlines are met.
Prepares month end journal entries and P&L corrections as necessary.
Assists in continuous improvement efforts to ensure processes are accurate and efficient to meet the changing needs of owners and other stakeholders.
Assists in the analysis and explanations given to outside ownership entities.
Assists in the preparation of documents and analysis for annual audit.
Special projects as assigned by management
