We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our corporate team at TPG Hotels, Resorts & Marinas located in McKinney, TX.
Job Description
Our Senior Staff Accountants are a vital part of the service delivery to our hotel locations. This role will work with a portfolio of hotel locations to deliver the following:
Prepare monthly financial P&L statements for assigned portfolio of hotels.
Input and verify data in cloud-based hospitality specific accounting software (M3)
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files.
Prepare multiple complex bank reconciliations.
Accrue expenses and request disbursements.
Process weekly AP check runs.
Prepare weekly cash positions.
Maintain balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
Complete monthly closing cycle and prepare financials for multiple accounts.
Protect organization’s value by maintaining confidentiality of data and information.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Successful Senior Staff Accountant candidates must possess the following skills:
Excellent written and oral communication skills. This position has direct contact with owners, upper management, operations, and property general managers.
Ability to multi-task and comfortable working in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
Proficient with prepaid and accrual schedules.
Organized with a keen attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrate the ability to adhere to deadlines and checklists.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Highly self-motivated.
NOTE: This position is driven by contractual deadlines – time off is restrictive based on monthly closing periods.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
