What we’re looking for
Toyota’s TFS Corporate Tax Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Tax Analyst. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the TFS Corporate Tax department primarily related to the preparation of the income tax provision and federal, state and local income and information tax returns as well as other tax related projects for the TFS group.
Reporting to the Tax Accounting Manager, the person in this role will support the TFS Corporate Tax department’s objective to assess, develop, and document tax positions reported on SEC filings/audited financial statements and income tax returns.
What you’ll be doing
Timely and accurately prepare income tax provision and income, franchise, and other tax returns/estimated tax in a paperless work environment.
Preparation in accordance with SOX 404 compliance and other tax policies and procedures.
Work closely with accounting, operational, and other groups to obtain and validate information for income tax provision and return preparation.
Compile and analyze information in response to taxing authority audit requests. Respond and follow-up to taxing authority notices.
Support tax projects as needed that will be related but not limited to income tax provision, tax returns, and process improvement.
Respond to and support operational tax requests and guide other departments to ensure compliance with tax laws.
Maintain knowledge and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and their impact to the Toyota group of companies.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field required.
2+ years of relevant work experience.
Tax and accounting background in U.S corporate taxation.
Working knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft office suite.
Added bonus if you have
Master’s in Accounting or Taxation preferred.
Relevant work experience in similar field and/or industry.
Big 4 public accounting firm or large public/private industry experience with financial services industry a plus.
CPA License preferred.
Working knowledge and hands-on experience with CorpTax (provision and compliance), SAP general ledger, Hyperion Financial Management reporting (HFM), OneSource, and SharePoint.
