Overview:
We have tremendous opportunity for a Staff Accountants to play a key role within our Tax team here in our Dallas, Texas office. As a highly valued member of our Firm, you will work closely with the Tax team to provide timely, accurate, and reliable completion of client engagements. Responsibilities:
Become familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures
Learn the rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA
Become familiar with pronouncements of the FASB, AICPA, GAO, and GASB
Assist in the preparation of tax returns
Demonstrate the ability to identify issues and apply accounting principles
Develop positive working relationships with clients
Develop an ability to effectively respond to questions from supervisors and clients and keep the team lead informed of engagement/project status
Effectively apply technology tools in assigned areas
Comply with firm practice management and quality control procedures and systems
Contribute to fostering an environment of team work, ethics, and Firm values
Qualifications:
Required
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting with 150 credit hours qualifying for CPA licensure
A minimum of one year of professional full-time experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Outlook
Ability and willingness to travel as needed
Preferred
Involvement in professional and/or community organizations
CPA certification or progress towards completion
Hours of Operation:
Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
